The course forsees a propaedeutic route in which with stict criterias the main issues regarding choir directing will be dealt with. Formative subjects such as musical analysis, linguistic and phonetic and vocal technique complete the outline of the directing course.

In the third and last year more specific problems will be dealt with which have an executive and interpretive character let alone matters concerning praxis, style and general culture of polifony, it is given to be able to offer the students useful tools to deal with the required ability the excecution of the polifonic western repertoire from the reinassaince to the contemporary.

 

 

The specialization course for choir directors will start in the month of October 2007 and will end in July 2008. Forseen attendance: more or less, one weekend (Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday) every month. For the final certificate, absences amounting to more than one thrid of the total hours will not be admitted.

 

 

Ordinary students: those who may sign up to the course as ordinary sudents those with a music diploma in choir music and choir direction, let alone students with a diploma in composition and orchestra direction and all those with a diploma of a musical instument in the Academy of music and equal institutes, students graduated in musical show discliplines and , still less musicology and music at italian universities.

 

Extraordinary students: Those who may sign up to the course as extraordinary students even those who do not posess the necessary titles of the ordinary students, an evaluation of the artistic curriculum of the candidates followed by an entrance interview in front of the didactic commission of the school.

 

 

Ordinary students: At the end of the school after having passed the final test, a diploma recognized by the Toscana Region will be given to actual ordinary students stating their study course.

Extraordinary students: At the end of the course a certificate will be given to extraordinary students having passed the final exam, stating their study course.
